  Whether is is producing and distributing literature that helps people understand how HIV is transmitted or helping children stay in school or learning job skills, prevention is a major part of AIDSLink's strategy.  The projects below affect real people in real ways.

  Real people are infected with HIV and develop AIDS.  Real people, needing real care.  Here are a few ways that AIDSLink helps and encourages care for those needing it.

• Empowerment

  Empowerment means giving people the ability to help themselves. We want to empower them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make a difference both in their own lives and in the lives of those around them.
